Aveling training facility is an $11 million facility that has opened at Jandakot to meet the growing demand for heavy industry workforce training.
The 15 room training centre is evidence of the investment benefits in the resources and related industries.
The building process included elements such as structural steel frame work, concrete tilt panel and traditional brick cladding elements.
This was complimented by extensive aluminium window and door installations with feature Alucabond cladding.
Solar shading was provided by full height aluminium fins to the Northern elevation where training rooms were situated and bespoke projecting perforated screens at other locations on both Northern and Southern elevations.
When entering the building through the main entrance the reception area incorporates high quality finishes such as bespoke joinery fixtures and fittings, acoustic feature ceilings, large format ceramic floor tiles, digital artwork and furnished waiting area.
The main corridor allows building users to access the 15 training rooms and has specialist Stonini wall cladding installed at 45 degree angle with expressed joints and integrated LCD information screens, this returns into the entrance of each training room where it interfaces with the part glazed screens and entrance doors.
Washrooms are fitted out to a high standard again with large format ceramics, bespoke vanity tops and cubicle partition system.
Offices and administration areas are situated in the eastern corridor these are a combination of open plan areas, glazed screens delineate director’s offices, board room and break out areas, all furniture to these and other areas formed part of the contract works.
The multipurpose area is located adjacent to the main reception and provides a flexible space for large gatherings, dining and breaks between course attendance, this area is served by a commercial kitchen and servery and all furniture and fixtures were installed during execution of the contract.
The integrated AV, security, furniture and digital artwork installations were included in the scope of the contract and were all undertaken by nominated specialist subcontractors, co-ordinated and managed by PS Structures.
