The construction of two separate buildings and new car-park for this project were delivered over two separate but concurrent stages of 45 weeks and 52 weeks respectively.
Stage 1 involved construction of a new electrical trades and electrical engineering building containing twelve new classrooms with associated amenities and new 75 bay car-park.
Construction methodology of the single storey building was feature brickwork, structural steel, and all associated fit out.
Stage 2 of the works involved the construction of a new process and mechanical engineering building over two levels including two workshops, two simulator rooms, three laboratories, five classrooms and associated amenities. Construction methodology of this building involved load bearing brickwork, suspended insitu concrete slab, structural steel frame, external cladding of feature steel, aluminium cladding, and associated fit out works internally.
Unique challenges of this project included the incorporation of an existing workshop into the stage 2 construction. This included procurement and installation of hi-tech audio visual equipment; and an overall high level of services integration with the existing campus.
All works were completed on-time and to a high level of client and architect satisfaction.
